Description

Trauma-Net: Empowerment Dynamics Through Social Cognitive Theory
NISSC funded pilot project joint with C. Benight of UCCS Trauma Center and J. Ruzek of Palo Alto VA Center

Developing an interactive web site for self-empowerment of those suffering Trauma. This is a pilot project to build a basic but still per-user customized website that uses ideas from Social Cognitive Theory to provide self-help to those suffering from many levels of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder because of traumatic experiences related to natural disasters, assaults, car accidents, etc. Drs. Benight and Ruzek are developing the content and Dr. Boult and students are building the interactive software and providing feedback on content creation.

Recently the site was completely redesigned, and has had many changes to both its graphical design as well as its content. It now boasts many interactive features that keep the user feeling empowered through the use of the site. Visit the website! Click Here
