Projective Biometric Invariants

Projective Biometric Invariants
(Joint work with C. Wang and Gang Zhang UCCS ECE. Partially funded by NISSC last year. Recently filed preliminary patent, currently working on spin-off company.

Developed the concept of biometrics that are invariant to projective imaging. This first application, being explored in G. Zhang's thesis, its its use in hand-based biometrics using standard cameras. The general work has broad potential to improve the robustness of biometrics and the hand-based technique has the potential, when fused with face, to improve security with of non-contact biometrics.
