I am a second year doctoral candidate here at
UCCS, working towards a Ph.D. in computer
science.
My primary research interest is computer and information security, with a
focus on biometric systems. Specifically, I am interested in privacy enhancing
technologies that overcome the obstacles inherent in biometrics
(threat of identity theft, non-revocability, cross-database matching). Beyond
the specifics of biometrics, I am interested in computer vision, multispectral imaging, and cryptographic systems. I have also dabbled in bioinformatics, linguistics, and general networking.
Previously, I was a member of the WINS group at Lehigh University, headed by
Prof. Mooi Choo Chuah. There I investigated the potential of dynamic intrusion
detection systems, leading to promising work in semantics-aware based methods.
While at Lehigh, I earned a Master's degree in computer science, and a
Bachelor's degree in computer science and international relations.
