Loves Light

by Terrance Boult

The brightness grows; the twilight ends;
The sun peaks out above the bay;
Dew drops die as a flower bends.
It 's the start of a new spring day.
Two swans cort as they swim with grace;
Drone bees dine in midafternoon.
Deer meander around the place
As the evening's sky enshrouds the moon.
All lay still concealing thee,
Till your eyes gleam with loving light.
Although the day had much to see,
'Twill never compare with you at night!
  For love gives all a rosy glow,
  The truth of this did you me show.
